me captivated within the first chapter it was just real, her truth and
the strength and courage Mymie had in her to write about her life and

describe and express how I felt reading this book and having an insight
into Mymie’s life which are

A gripping read I didn’t want to put this book down. Talk about indomitable spirit, even in your most challenging moments your sense of self preservation and intuitive knowledge of your own self worth, your commitment to your children and family was motivation enough for you to go the extra mile and then some. You go girl, you are a spiritual warrior. Men and women both would do well to understand how far reaching the affects and influence that the patriarchal system has had on our lives and behaviors towards each other both men and women around the world. It has had a devastating effect, just look at the state of the human condition. The patriarchal system is un harmonious and disconnected from nature lacking the feminine principal. Supporting selfish and evil intent, highly destructive, warped sexist, very oppressive and controlling, exacting methodically insidious treatment of our women as second class citizens. A truly bigoted, fear based ignorant system that operates in all human activities that men would no tolerate for themselves. The patriarchal system operates in the areas of politics, the economy/finance, education, law, science, religion, entertainment, labour/work place, media, sex, war, and health. It conditions and mis-educated people to act inhumanly towards each other. Women and men both are victims and the perpetrators of this system, how so you may you ask? Who of us male or female can honestly say we have not being affected with ignorant bigoted prejudices of this dehumanising system? The perpetrators dehumanise themselves to a base, primitive interaction while dehumanising their victims. These perpetrators have grandmothers, mothers, sisters, aunts, cousins, nieces, wives, girlfriends, perpetrators this system effects all women, loved ones included with our continued support and participation of our actions. I hope I’m making sense here. A healthy harmonious balance of the masculine and feminine energy in our lives and the systems we use in society would drastically change the lives of each and every human being on the planet. Thank you for sharing your heartfelt open and honest description of your story that in of itself takes much courage to bare ones soul to the world. Your story took me on a journey that we can relate to and see in ourselves our own vulnerabilities, weaknesses, fears, hopes, strengths, aspirations, courageousness, reconnecting us to our higher selves and our indomitable spirit. to feel the fear but doing it anyway. Keep on keeping on.

This is such a touching story and told so authentically. I can only say that this book has the potential to help other girls and women who have been, or are going through trauma. A very raw account of the challenges Mymie overcame and her painstaking journey. I could not put it down!
